Since we met this week, I have been thinking about the fraction strips and which grade I will use them with. Do you know where they fit within the PA Standards? If so, please let me know. I would like to develop a unit to use them with my students.

Michelle, I wanted to post a new blog with a question about dividing fractions, since I got to the end of the explanation about how to divide mixed numerals and got stuck, but I don't know how to post a new blog? Do I need to do that through g-mail? I could have found your email, but decided to go this way.

ReplyDeleteI plan to use task H from the Cat Math Tasks from the workshop. The interesting part is that I will get to see what both 4th grade sections contribute since this is the first time I am teaching math to both sections. I have also found several from the Math Core Curriculum that are high level tasks.
